Why GoZonkers Relies on Sponsorships


Keeping GoZonkers FREE to Schools and Parents



There are two major reasons GoZonkers relies on Sponsorships:
  • The costs of top-notch production
  • Kids need healthy brands

The costs of top-notch production


Kids today don't just want to be entertained. They demand to be engaged. With fast-moving cartoons, multi-million dollar video games, and blockbuster movies as their standards, they reject anything less than the very best quality.

GoZonkers is theatre of the mind. It recreates radio drama for a generation that has never experienced it. To meet these demanding standards, GoZonkers employs the best writing, voice, music, sound engineering, and production talent on the planet. Anything less and it wouldn't work. Kids would tune us out.

The exceptional sound production values and quality required of GoZonkers costs as much as TV cartoons. To continue supplying top-flight programming requires sponsorship, or schools and Parents would have to pay for it. Given the financial situation in most schools today, as well as the financial demands on families with kids, it wasn't an option to charge either schools or Parents. Our mission is to attack Childhood Obesity head-on. Thus the only option, other than not doing it at all or charging for it, was to rely on Sponsorship.

We use two primary types of Sponsorships


Product Sponsorship
Leading manufacturers of "Kid-Healthy" brands sponsor GoZonkers to ensure a better future for our children.
Public Donations at Retail Stores
Some of the country's largest retailers, and natural products retailers (like Wild Oats, Henry's Marketplace, and Sun Harvest) are also concerned about the rising epidemic of Childhood Obesity. They have organized periodic public donation campaigns at their checkout counters. These campaigns are already under way, and more are slated for the future.


Kids Need Healthy Brands


Kids already know a lot about plenty of unhealthy products. They are exposed to thousands of ads for them every year. What is missing are ads for healthy products. When was the last time you saw an ad for a healthy food product for kids?

Most kid-healthy food products are more expensive to make than junk food. They thus have less profit to plow into expensive ads and tv shows. So, kids see fewer ads for them. This is a double whammy for kids - about the only ads they see are for junk food - they buy more of them and manufacturers put more money into making still more high-profit junk food.

For healthy foods to reach kids, because they are less profitable to make, they require less expensive media like GoZonkers. Thus, GoZonkers exposes healthy products to kids, which increases their sales, convincing the makers to produce still more healthy products.

We identify products that comply with our exclusive, "Healthy Schools - Healthy Kids™" standards. Only products that are designed to attack Childhood Obesity, and meet those tough, high standards are invited to sponsor GoZonkers.
